Description
Blackcurrant oil is obtained from currant seeds. It is a valuable source of unsaturated fatty acids (LA: linolenic acid approx. 45-50%, ALA: alpha linolenic acid approx. 15%, GLA: gamma linolenic acid approx. 15%). The balanced intake of LA, GLA and ALA (Omega 3-6-9) leads to an increase in prostaglandins with anti-inflammatory and anti-allergic action. These characteristics make Currant Oil useful in preserving the integrity and functionality of cell membranes and the trophism and functionality of the skin, preventing dryness and roughness, redness, itching and skin burning.
